You’d think there would be more of a fuss about Brian Boru

You’d think there would be more of a fuss about Brian Boru this year considering that most Irish children learned at school about the famous Battle of Clontarf where he met his demise, apparently well into his 80s.  A former King of Munster he had become the High King of Ireland and victor in many battles with the rulers of the other Irish provinces but the King of Leinster joined forces with the Vikings and engaged Boru in Battle on Good Friday in April 1014 — a thousand years ago this year.
