Ballyhack Castle in County Wexford is a tower house that dates back to the fourteenth century. Originally built by the Knights Hospitaller of St. John, it is set on a hill and overlooks the Waterford estuary.
Ballyhack castle is located in a small fishing village. The village has a small shop and a pub but is most notable for its ferry port. A regular car ferry service connects Ballyhack to Waterford which is one the main shopping destinations in the south-east of Ireland.
The ferries depart regularly every day and run between Ballyhack and Passage East.
